Learn how eat to build muscle mass 

We will giving in depth guidance and information of how we really should eat to gain as much muscle as possible. We will dive into topics such as energy balance, macronutrient mixture, which supplementations methods are best. Overall how to support your body going through the process of optimally packing on muscle, whatever location or goal! 

Eating to be strong, and sports performance

Our course will provide full details of how to give bespoke nutrition guidance to support development and performance in sporting activities. We will discuss how to manage recovery and optimise every single session with good nutrition protocols. We will also provide details of periodising nutrition for shows whether it be a sporting or a physique environment such as bodybuilding and bikini fitness. Our course will discuss weigh-ins, and tapering periods and provide good practice on how to perform these.

How to optimise eating for a lean physique whilst prioritising saving all the hard earned muscle can be a question we are faced with often. We will tackle how to plan our nutrition in order to get the very best results.

The mystery that is supplementation

Understanding supplementation can be a minefield of information, and the biggest issue can be tackling what information is actually correct. We will provide and deliver to you the most accurate and up to date research surrounding supplementation.

Course structure 

This qualification will enable learners to develop their understanding of nutrition for sport and exercise performance.

During the qualification learners will cover the following:

  • the need for a healthy, balanced diet to optimise sports performance.

  • how to access credible information about sports and performance nutrition.

  • the benefits and risks of specific nutritional protocols that may be used to prepare for sports or fitness events.

  • the current scientific evidence relating to the safety and efficacy of common, legally available supplements and ergogenic aids.

  • understand nutrition for sport and exercise performance.

Course cost

£300 in a single payment

Guided learning hours

20 hours of guided hours delivered over a zoom platform. The total work time is 50 hours. 

Your qualification

​

Learners must hold one of the following:

  • Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing.

  • Active IQ Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instructing.

  • Active IQ Level 2 Certificate in Group Training.

And:

  • Active IQ Level 3 Award in Nutrition for Physical Activity, or

  • Active IQ Level 3 Award in Nutrition for Exercise and Health.

 

Career Progression

This qualification provides progression onto:

  • Active IQ Level 3 Award in Conditioning for Exercise and Sports Performance.

  • Active IQ Level 3 Award in Instructing Outdoor Fitness.

  • Active IQ Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training.
